What a Weekend .....!

We've been down to the caravan and we fully intended to make a start on the wonderful(?) garden we have planned for outside but it has been absolutely foul weather so we sat in the caravan listening to the wind howling, the sea roaring and the rain doing taps on the roof ! Still, it didnt matter too much with it being so cosy inside the van.
We left in torrential rain, after waiting a couple of hours hoping it would stop, so it was pretty hairy driving back...especially when we ended up in what seemed like miles of flood water. The police were there, thank goodness, and it was reassuring to hear a young one say "just take it nice and gently and you'll be OK" My DH is my hero today because I dont mind admitting that I was having kittens, but he drove us through it all as calm as you like.
The weekend hasnt been a complete washout though (!) as I just happened to have about my person a few jewellery making items so I have been playing with something different. I will post some pics tomorrow...I hope you've all had a crafty weekend.

Just Wondering ....?

I've been tidying up and was wondering what I can do with the challenge pieces I've done so far ( put them in the bin probably...lol ) I haven't seen any ideas anywhere on the blogs I've visited up to now and the only thing I can come up with is a box under the bed !
I've just been having a chuckle to myself because now the challenges have generated a challenge all of their own !

Got it !

Well we've got the caravan (except for finishing off the paperwork) so we are going down tomorrow to have our first day there. The weather is lousy at the moment but hopefully it will buck up later.
No crafting today then as I pile up hoards of stuff to cart down to Par. I have one more piece to post on here though so I will do that in a minute.
......now where's that tin opener.......?

What a Lovely Day...and Pleeeease Cross your fingers For Us

Well what a lovely day it's been!
We woke up to the sun breaking through and an hour later we were heading down to Par in Cornwall.
The roads were pretty much deserted so it was a dream journey down and we arrived at the "Duck Pond" to the raucous calls of the hundreds of birds that gather there.
We had a leisurely stroll over the nearby sand dunes and a wander on the beach along Par Sands and we realised we were starving !
So we went up to "Snowies" (a local campsite) and into Miss Tees cafe for some welcome food.
While we were at Snowies we got chatting and found out there is a massive caravan for sale so we belted over to the sales office only to find it shut as we had forgotten about it being Sunday ! There were pics posted in the window so we rang the number and it looks hopeful that we will be able to get it....and all we meant to do was go for a drive !!!!
After more walking (and stopping for hellos and chats to all and sundry along the way) we finally headed home. (where we are sat with everything crossed !)
So what the heck has any of this to do with crafting? Well nothing really...I just thought I would let you know I do get out now and again LOL !....and to ask you all pleeeeese will you cross your fingers as well for us to get the caravan...
We are so lucky to live 50mins away from such a beautiful part of the world.
As I said at the beginning....what a lovely day.

Hello Crafters...

Well its been hectic again but I have managed a bit of crafting....and a lot of planning !
I cant claim to be 65 anymore as I hit 66 last week but do I care ? No is the answer to that, as life is great, and I haven't got time to mope about when there's all that craft stash waiting to be played with !!!! lol
Hopefully there will be some new pics soon.
In the meantime....hasta la vista baby....I'll be back .....

Demo at Di's tomorrow

I called in Di's at Eldercrafts on my way to Maggies
and there is a demo of alchohol inks tomorrow.
Shall I go see....?
Ooo.... it's so tempting.
I know if I do I will buy half the shop
and I do so want a bind-it-all.
Lets face it my wish-list gets longer every day!
